Past North West Young Chef Finalist wins Cumbria Life Award

The North West Young Chef finalist, and also the Head Chef at The Punch Bowl Inn & Restaurant, in  Crosthwaite, entered the Cumbria Life and Drink Awards 2013 and went on to storm the judges with his attitude and dedication.
Judges said: “Scott is enthusiastic and wholly committed to the business. He is willing to learn from other restaurants and hasn’t sat on his hands. He works in a busy environment and has to think on his feet and be very involved, yet he’s also a very calm individual.”
One of the runners up also included Andrew Postlethwaite, from the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal, who won the North West Young Chef of the Year 2011.
