The announcement of the 2014 Good Food Guide has been made which has seen Simon Rogan’s L’Enclume restaurant in Cartmel awarded the top position. This is a first for the Cumbrian chef who has displaced Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck which now finds itself in second place. Both L’Enclume and The Fat Duck had been awarded perfect 10’s in the prestigious Good Food Guide but the modern British cooking and use of excellent seasonal ingredients has seen the Cumbrian 2 Michelin star restaurant top the list.
Acclaimed British chef Nathan Outlaw has seen his restaurant shoot up the list this year, moving from 7th in the last edition of the guide to 3rd. Oliver Harvey exclusively supply Chefs Wear many of Nathans restaurants and are delighted to see such excellent progress by the Cornish chef. The top three restaurants faced some very tough competition with the full list including the likes of Sat Bains in Nottingham, Restaurant Gordon Ramsey in London and Hibiscus, also of London.
One thing that is consistent with the list is just how many wearers of Oliver Harvey are amongst them and we are proud to be associated with the very best in the industry.
