The South West Chef of the Year presentation dinner will be held on the evening of Monday 29th October at ABode Exeter, following the finals of the competition earlier the same day at Exeter College.
The dinner, hosted by Michael Caines and Taste of the West, will be prepared by three of our esteemed judges who are also previous winners of the competition:



Starter: Simon Hulstone, head chef at the Michelin-starred Elephant Restaurant, Torquay
Main: Ian Webber, head chef at the two-Michelin starred Gidleigh Park, Chagford
Dessert: Matthew Mason, head chef at The Jack in the Green, Rockbeare, voted 5th in theUK's 50 Top Gastropubs (Feb 2012)
The winners of the three classes of the competition will be announced during the evening:
South West Professional Chef of the Year
South West Young Professional Chef of the Year
South West Home Cook of the Year
along with a number of additional awards:
Best Dish
Best Presentation
Most Creative Menu
Best Use of Regional Produce
