SushiDog collaborates with Birmingham Chef Dan Lee

SushiDog launches bold new sushi roll in collaboration with MasterChef winner Dan Lee, available exclusively in Birmingham

Sushi lovers assemble! SushiDog has joined forces with Birmingham based chef and MasterChef: The Professionals winner, Dan Lee to create a limited edition SushiDog roll, available exclusively at its new venue in the Bullring.

Available from 23rd February for one month only, the Dan Lee SushiDog roll brings together SushiDog’s famous burrito style sushi rolls, with Dan’s iconic salt and pepper seasoning and love of big, nostalgic flavours.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Dan Lee shot to fame after winning MasterChef: The Professionals in 2021 and is now known for his modern take on British Chinese food, creating comforting classics, reimagined with bold seasoning, crunch and heat. This collaboration is a celebration of his roots, his signature style, and Birmingham’s vibrant food scene.

Priced at £8.45, the Dan Lee SushiDog Roll features Dan’s salt and pepper seasoning, crispy popcorn shrimp, katsu curry mayo, cucumber, carrot, fresh chillies, and spring onion, all wrapped into SushiDog’s signature hand-held roll. It’s a perfect blend of crispy, spicy, saucy and fresh, sure to satisfy every craving.

“We’re all about fresh, bold flavours and having fun with food and Dan embodies this perfectly,” said Greg Ilsen, co-founder of SushiDog. “Launching a Birmingham exclusive roll with a chef who’s such a big part of the city’s food culture felt like the perfect way to follow our opening at the end of January.”

Dan Lee added: “I love food that’s packed with flavour and personality, and SushiDog really gets that. This roll is inspired by the flavours I grew up loving, salty, spicy, crunchy and I’m excited for Birmingham to try it.”

Available exclusively at SushiDog Bullring Birmingham from February 23rd, the Dan Lee SushiDog roll will only be around for one month, so sushi lovers are encouraged to grab it while they can.
