CRAFT GUILD TO HELP WITH FINISHING TOUCHES

This summer the Craft Guild of Chefs (CGC) is once again proud to be working in association with the Local Authority Caterers Association (LACA) at the annual Finishing Touches event. The static culinary display salon boasts eight categories that see an abundance of creativity put into everything from cake design to cold canapés.
“The Guild is pleased to once again be supporting such a unique event,” said Martin Bates, CEO, the Craft Guild of Chefs. “It’s unbelievable the amount of effort and imagination that the contestants put into their designs when competing at Finishing Touches. It’s a great opportunity for individuals from the Foodservice industry to showcase their talents.”
Last year saw Vicky Scott, who works for school caterer Taylor Shaw in Durham, win the Best in Show prize for a second year running. Her decorated novelty cake depicting a garden festival and imaginative characters wowed the judges.
The Craft Guild of Chefs was established in 1965 as the Guild of the Cookery and Food Association and has developed into the leading chefs’ association in the UK, with many members worldwide. For more on the Craft Guild of Chefs, call 020 8948 3870 or visit www.craftguildofchefs.org.
