The Craft Guild of Chefs has once again supported the Exercise Joint Caterer Competition and Exhibition at Sandown, which has been running for ten years.
The three-day event, held from September 27th – 29th, saw over 2,000 competitors from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Royal Marines taking part in static displays and practical cooking competitions.
“The Guild was proud to once again be involved with such a fabulous event that supports culinary and steward skills in our armed forces, said John Retallick, chairman of the vice president’s council of the Craft Guild of Chefs. “Guild members were on hand to judge various aspects of the competitions and there was also a Craft Guild stand at the event for people to learn more about our organisation.”
The Craft Guild of Chefs was established in 1965 as the Guild of the Cookery and Food Association and has developed into the leading chefs’ association in the UK, with many members worldwide.
