NCOTY 2012 First Finalist Announced

It was Andrew Wright of Restaurant 23, Leamington Spa who really stood out as the winner with John Howie of Sodexo Prestige announced as the runner up
Andrew was assisted by Brett Connor and his menu consisted of:
Starter: Carpaccio of live caught wild Cornish sea bass
Main: Lighthorne lamb with summer vegetables
Dessert: Evesham strawberries and raspberries with rose petal and vanilla extracts
Judge David Mulcahy praised Andrew for his 'great flavours, good classic cooking' and his 'consistency throughout'. 
Three other heats will now take place at Westminster Kingsway College on Tuesday 26 June, but for Andrew it's all about the final at the Restaurant Show in October.
