Supporting the female leaders of tomorrow

The Craft Guild of Chefs is proud to put its backing to a great People 1st initiative.
People 1st is the Sector Skills Council for Hospitality, Leisure, Travel, Tourism and Passenger Transport. In essence they research the industry, share those findings with government and the hospitality community and provide solutions. These solutions may come in the form of qualifications, training, or financial incentive to address imbalances within the sector.
The Female Chefs' Development programme from People 1st provides bespoke management training for women working as chefs, helping them to move into more skilled and senior positions.
Delivered over six days, the programme combines essential management, organisational and technical skills development - including:
• Knowing yourself• Communication skills• Confidence under pressure in the kitchen• Financial skills for chefs, including finances and menus - business planning• Practical training skills• Assertiveness and presentation
People 1st aims for every board to have at least ten percent female members by 2015 and double that number by 2025.
This is your opportunity to get involved - apply now!Valued at £2,000 per delegate, People 1st has secured a government subsidy to offer this groundbreaking programme to ambitious women chefs across the UK for just £300 per candidate.
