Good Morning Chef
I hope you are having a good week. I am out of the office on Monday and Tuesday, which is why you are receiving your seasonal update a little early.
Wild Mushrooms & Truffles
Unusual European weather has resulted in the first arrival of perfect Cep from Poland. Trompette has also started and we are also expecting Chanterelle and Pied de Mouton by the end of the week.
Scottish and Polish Girolles are still standing strong, and if the rain continues we shall be blessed with a plethora of fungal varieties for the rest of the year.
Italian black summer truffles are now nearing their end and the shelf life is shortening but they remain at a very good price and quality.
Seasonal Produce
See last week’s update for details galore (if you need a copy of this please do let me know).
