Zizzi’s new Christmas campaign, ‘Merry Zizzi EVERYONE’, celebrates the unsung hero who makes sure everyone around the Christmas table is catered to.
Launching this September, Zizzi’s Christmas advert will mark their first TV advertising campaign since November 2021 and forms part of the brand’s wider investment in building brand salience ahead of the key Christmas trading period.
The return to TV and digital advertising comes at a significant point for the brand, following a major menu revamp last year which has driven strong customer feedback and NPS scores. The campaign aims to remind consumers that, whatever their dietary requirements or preferences, there is a place for everyone at Zizzi.
The creative brings this insight to life through Santa as the ultimate Christmas host, as he attempts to organise the annual Santa Christmas meal. As the plans get underway, his phone starts filling up with messages from the other Santas, each with their own dietary requirements and preferences. From vegan and gluten-free requests to those who simply can't eat certain ingredients, Santa is faced with the familiar challenge of trying to make sure there is something for everyone.
The result is a humorous take on the often unspoken pressure that comes with organising a Christmas meal. While the guests might be thinking about what they want to eat, the person organising it is thinking about whether everyone will be happy.
It is a human insight that sits at the heart of Zizzi’s ‘Merry Zizzi EVERYONE’ proposition, showcasing the brand’s ability to cater for different tastes and dietary needs without anyone having to compromise. Zizzi’s menu includes options for vegetarian, vegan and non-gluten diners.
The campaign represents Zizzi’s largest media investment in three years, underlining the brand’s renewed focus on building awareness and consideration at a key trading period for the restaurant sector.
The first campaign burst will run through to mid-October, before returning in November and December to support the key Christmas booking and dining period. The campaign will be supported by Zizzi’s wider Christmas activity across PR, social, influencer and in-restaurant channels.
George Whiting, Head of Marketing and Communication at Zizzi said: “Great campaigns start with a human insight, and we all know that person who takes on the job of making sure everyone is happy at Christmas. We wanted to bring that to life in a fun and relatable way, while showing that whatever your tastes or dietary requirements, Zizzi has a place for everyone. Following the success of our menu revamp and excellent NPS score, it felt like the perfect time to bring Zizzi back to TV.”
The campaign comes as Zizzi looks to drive Christmas bookings and consideration while reinforcing its position as a restaurant where everyone can come together, whatever their food preferences or dietary requirements.
Zizzi’s Christmas set menu will be available from 17th November, with two and three course options priced at £24.95 and £29.95 respectively.
