Daniel Scott is the new executive head chef at 20 Stories, a venue owned by D&D London located on the 19th floor of No.1 Spinningfields in Manchester

Originally from Chester, Dan has more than two decades of experience as a chef, having worked for the likes of Michael Caines at The Chester Abode, overseen the F&B offering and opened four restaurants at The Tornado Tower in Doha, Qatar, and helped Tom Kerridge open The Bull & Bear at The Stock Exchange in Manchester.

Most recently, Dan was the kitchen manager at Manchester's only Michelin-starred restaurant, Mana.

He joined 20 Stories last year, and will now take on the role of executive chef, replacing Mike Jennings.

Upon taking on the role, the chef said: “I am really looking forward to launching the new menu at 20 Stories,” which will include dishes such as seared pigeon breast, confit game croquette, beetroot and horseradish; spiced monkfish loin with puy lentils, cavolo nero, preserved lemon and red wine sauce; and ras el hanout cauliflower steak with romesco, shallot, parsley and capers.

“The restaurant has become a firm favourite in Manchester and I’m excited to bring a new flavour to its clientele. To be able to produce my food in such stunning surroundings is something I am excited about alongside delivering high quality meals with seasonal, bold flavours in the beautiful restaurant setting."

Meanwhile, Becky Wilkes, sales and marketing manager at D&D London said: “It has been great to welcome Daniel to the D&D family. His innovative ideas and wealth of experience have been important to 20 Stories, and we are looking forward to the launch of Daniel’s new menu which will feature some incredible dishes perfect for all of our diners.”
