Daniel Clifford named new Bragard ambassador

The Staff Canteen
Michelin-starred chef Daniel Clifford has been named as the new brand ambassador for leading workwear provider Bragard. Daniel is best known for his Cambridge-based restaurant, Midsummer House, which has held two Michelin stars and five AA rosettes since 2005 and he is also a regular on television cooking programmes. Daniel said: “I first began wearing Bragard because it is the jacket that all chefs strive for. You know you’ve made it when you get your first Grand Chef jacket. Almost all Michelin-starred chefs wear The Grand Chef as it is the Rolls Royce of jackets. “Nearly 20 years after receiving my first jacket, I continue to wear The Grand Chef. Since I spend more time in my chef whites than I do in normal clothes, I value quality and comfort. I won’t wear other jackets because nothing else compares.” The Grand Chef was first designed in 1976 with the help of French culinary master Paul Bocuse and was made for chefs in the public eye who were keen to reflect the standards of their restaurant in their uniform. Charlie Pogson from Bragard UK’s marketing team, said: “Daniel is a hugely respected chef and fits our brand perfectly. The Grand Chef jacket is the pinnacle in chefs’ jackets, as is Daniel in his industry. We are incredibly proud that Daniel has chosen The Grand Chef as his preferred jacket and we look forward to continuing our partnership.” “The restaurant kitchen is a high pressure environment and top chefs like Daniel are expected not only to produce great tasting food, but make the process seem effortless. The clothes they wear in the kitchen need to look professional and on-trend to give them the confidence to represent their restaurant when they are called on to meet guests.” The Grand Chef is available from the Bragard website.
