England team line-up confirmed for Culinary World Cup

The British Culinary Federation have announced the England team which will compete at The Culinary World Cup in November. The team of six chefs plus support will combine under the BCF, the national member of World Association of Chefs’ Societies for the world event which takes place in Expogast, Luxembourg between 22 and 26 November. President Peter Griffiths, said: “Having won gold in the hot and silver in the buffet last time, the BCF is looking forward to the English National Culinary Team competing once again in Luxembourg, both at senior and junior level. “Everyone is working extremely hard towards achieving a successful result. We have a very professional and talented squad, plus the full support of our key industry sponsors.” The teams will be tasked with producing a three-course menu for 110 covers, plus an International Buffet in their attempts to claim the title. The Elephant in Torquay will have two representatives with chef proprietor Simon Hulstone chosen as captain of the senior side while BCF Young Chef of the Year and National Young Chef of the Year Ben Champkin will line up in the Junior team.
