Francesco Mazzei joins D&D London’s Sartoria restaurant on Savile Row in Mayfair, London after working for seven years as chef patron at L’Amina. The renowned chef will make his first appearance when Sartoria reopens after an extensive refurbishment later this year. Sartoria, meaning ‘tailor’ in Italian, is situated in the West End and is one of London’s most stylish and sophisticated Italian restaurants serving Milanes-style dishes. Francesco MazzeiFrancesco’s career started when he was nine, working in his family’s ice-cream parlour. Since then he has worked in a range of places including Rome, Bangkok and London. In 2008 he assisted the opening of the L’Amina restaurant and worked there as chef patron. Francesco said: “I believe now is the right time for me to move into the West End and I am thoroughly looking forward to making Sartoria one of London’s best Italian restaurants”.
