Grilled by The Staff Canteen goes live – for the first time the podcast will be hosted and recorded in front of an audience!

Following the huge download success of Grilled, a podcast which features the UK's biggest name chefs and their guests, The Staff Canteen have teamed up with The Gannet in Glasgow to host the first live recording of the show.

On March 8, the host of Grilled, Cara Houchen, editor of The Staff Canteen, will be joined by a very special line-up of guests.

They, and anyone lucky enough to get a ticket, will sit down for a unique dinner created by chef owner of The Gannet, Peter McKenna.

As they work their way through the menu they will be ‘grilled’ with questions from Cara and the audience plus expect games, never heard before stories and a few other surprises.

The guests will be The Gannet’s own Peter McKenna, Michelin-starred Adam Handling, chef owner of the Adam Handling Restaurant Group; Hardeep Singh Kohli, comedian, presenter and former Celebrity MasterChef contestant; celebrity chef Nick Nairn and actress Caitríona Balfe, best known for her starring role as Claire Fraser in the series Outlander.

Cara Houchen said: "Grilled has become our most popular piece of content over the past two years so we are incredibly excited to take it to the next level! Often the outtakes from the podcast recordings are the funniest or juiciest bits, as this one is live our audience will get to experience the full lot."

She added: “It’s a privilege to hold the first Grilled live at The Gannet and the guests who are joining me are all incredibly talented, entertaining and hopefully up for a laugh as we have some really exciting things planned for this plus as always I will be asking my guests anything – it’s definitely not one to be missed.”

Peter McKenna said: "I’m incredibly excited to be hosting the first ‘live’ Grilled podcast there at The Gannet. We have an incredible line-up of guests, some I’ve known for years, others I’m looking forward to getting to know."

Guests will be treated to a five-course special menu designed specifically for the evening and there are just 28 tickets available so you need to be quick.
