The Staff Canteen

The Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2026 has been unveiled at the annual ceremony in Dublin, with Bonheur by Matt Abé and Row on 5, the collaboration between Jason Atherton and Spencer Metzger, both earning two Michelin stars.

There were no new three-Michelin-star promotions this year, with all existing top-tier restaurants retaining their awards.

Elsewhere in the selection, 20 restaurants were awarded one Michelin star for the first time, alongside 37 new Bib Gourmands, seven new green stars and a handful of special awards.

Two Restaurants Promoted to Two Michelin Stars

The highest new awards of the night saw two restaurants receive two Michelin stars.

Bonheur by Matt Abé entered the Guide at two-star level just months after opening. Located in the former Le Gavroche site in London, the restaurant marks a new chapter for Matt, following his time leading Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.

Michelin inspectors praised cooking that is light and modern, underpinned by outstanding classical technique, with particular emphasis on the precision and depth of the sauces.

Row on 5 was also promoted to two Michelin stars, having earned its first star last year.

The collaboration between Jason Atherton and Spencer Metzger was recognised for its luxurious experience, exceptional ingredients and confident, refined cooking.

Inspectors highlighted the Inverness langoustine, served in several forms, as a particular standout.

The promotions bring the total number of two-Michelin-star restaurants in Great Britain & Ireland to 28.

All Three-Michelin-Star Restaurants Retain Their Awards

While there were no new additions, all 10 three-Michelin-star restaurants retained their status in the 2026 Guide.

They are:

Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, London
CORE by Clare Smyth, London
Hélène Darroze at The Connaught, London
L’Enclume, Cartmel
