Our top five celeriac recipes

The Staff Canteen

A rather interesting tweet from Michelin Guide UK last week declared that kohlrabi is the new celeriac. Naturally, we had to ask our Twitter following for their thoughts. Celeriac was the winner and what better way to celebrate than bringing you five of our favourite celeriac recipes

Although the poll was close, it was decided by the majority that celeriac stays on top and so we thought we'd celebrate that well-loved knobbly root vegetable by sharing our top five celeriac recipes!

At number one it's: Scallops, Pork Cheek, Black Pudding, Celeriac and Apple by Steve Groves

Second

place goes to...  Roast Creedy Carver duck, celeriac, parsley and grapefruit, chocolate sauce by Mark Poynton.

Third place is:  Venison, salt baked celeriac, grapes and pickled walnut purée by Luke Tipping.

In at four:  Norfolk Quail, Celeriac, Raisin, Capers, Hazelnut by Danny Parker

And number five is another Norfolk Quail - leg, breast and egg with celeriac and apple by Roger Hickman.

What do you think? Is celeriac still the best or does kohlrabi deserve more credit? Upload your recipes with #celeriacwin or #kohlrabiwin and we'll see who the real victor is...
