Two new three Michelin star San Francisco restaurants have been announced in the 2015 Michelin guide to San Francisco. Cory Lee's Benu restaurant and Joshua Skene's Saison are the two additions to this year's guide. The much coveted three stars symbolise 'exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey' according to the Michelin inspectors. GM SanFrancisco_2015_3D D1“With two new three star restaurants recognised, this 2015 edition reflects Northern California’s remarkable gastronomic energy. The San Francisco Bay area is among the most exciting culinary scenes in the worlds," said Michael Ellis, international director of the Michelin guides. "Californian chefs are mixing their exacting cooking techniques with superb local ingredients and culinary influences from all parts of the globe. The result is a rich, dynamic and unique dining scene.” Acquerello restaurant in Nob Hill is the latest restaurant to be awarded two stars, falling under the 'excellent cuisine, worth a detour' category. There are two new one-star restaurants in the 2015 guide, making up a total of 30 in San Francisco while there are a total of 78 establishments awarded the Bib Gourmand award for 'good food at moderate prices'.       See the full list here: 3 Michelin Stars
