Chef of the Year
TSC Award 2024 CHEF of the year is TOM AIKENS
Tom Aikens is chef/patron of Muse, a Michelin-starred restaurant in London’s Belgravia. Muse is a small, intimate space designed for 25 diners, where each course on the tasting menu tells a story drawn from Tom's personal journey, exploring themes like nostalgia, nature, and the artistry of seasonal ingredients. Muse earned it's Michelin star in the 2021 guide despite being closed for most of the year due to the pandemic.
Born
in Norwich in 1970, Tom trained at Norwich City College before moving on to iconic Michelin-starred kitchens, including David Cavalier’s in London, La Tante Claire with Pierre Koffmann, and Joël Robuchon in Paris. Tom’s classical French training became the foundation of his own unique style, blending refined technique with bold creativity.
In 1996, Tom became the youngest British chef to earn two Michelin stars while at Pied à Terre.
