Recipes: Festive Cocktails at Sopwell House

⁣Sopwell House Hotel & Spa has created a first-class Festive Cocktail Menu featuring a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Guests can enjoy these festive tipples in the hotel’s elegant Cocktail Lounge. The Amaro Mio and Festive Mojito will join a wider festive cocktail selection, including the Christmas Appletizer, Mint Hot Chocolate, Frangelico and Home Cuddle. The cocktails are priced at from £8.50 each. Stefano Litti, Restaurant and Bar Manager at Sopwell House, reveals the recipes for two of the decadent drinks available this December 2017.

Ingredients

  • ⁣Amaro Mio
  • Ingredients:
  • • 25ml Amaretto
  • • 25ml Dark Rum
  • • 50ml Cranberry Juice
  • • 50ml Apple Juice
  • • 10ml Ginger Juice
  • • Garnish: 1 Cinnamon Stick, 1 Glacé Cherry and a pinch of Cinnamon Powder.
  • ⁣Festive Mojito
  • Ingredients:
  • • 50ml Cranberry Juice
  • • 50ml Apple Juice
  • • 10ml Mint Syrup
  • • 5ml Gomme Syrup
  • • 5ml Lemon Juice
  • • Garnish: Red Currants, Mint Leaves, and a wedge of Lime.

Method

⁣⁣Amaro Mio
⁣Method:
Add the amaretto, dark rum, cranberry, apple and ginger juice to the cocktail shaker. Shake and serve in a short tumbler glass filled to the top with ice. Garnish the cocktail with the cinnamon stick and a glacé cherry. Finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon powder and enjoy!
Festive Mojito
⁣Method:
Build the mocktail by adding the cranberry juice, apple juice, gomme and mint syrup to a shaker. Shake thoroughly to ensure it is fully muddled. Prepare a high ball glass with ice and strain the cocktail over the top. Add red currants, mint leaves and a wedge of lime to add a finishing touch.
