Caramel shortbread

My caramel shortbread Recipe and video


  • 200g plain flour
  • 100g cornflour
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 1/4 tsp table salt
  • 200g butter
  • 175g butter
  • 175g caster sugar
  • 60ml golden syrup
  • 400g condensed milk
  • 200g milk chocolate


Mix together Flour, corn flour, sugar and salt then add butter and mix with paddle until at breadcrumb stage and then bring together on floured surface
Rollout mix and place in to a lined tray and fork the mixture and bake at 180c for 20-25 minutes
Heat next amount of butter with sugar, syrup and condensed milk and stir on medium heat for 10-15 minutes until golden
Pour caramel on top on the cooked shortbread and allow to set
Melt chocolate in a bowl over a pan of water and then spread evenly on top of caramel before allowed to fully set until hard before portioning
