- 8 x thick slices of bread (I prefer sourdough but up to you) 8 x spread of butter 1 tbs x caramelised onion 1.6 kg x handfuls of grated Isle Mull Cheddar (any cheddar will do) 1.5 tbs x haggis (large scoop)
Ingredients
Method
Lightly butter the 1 x side of each slice of bread.
Layer 1 tbs of caramelised onion topped with 1.5 tbs haggis, 100g of cheese on each slice of bread.
Place into a dry frying pan (butter side down) on low heat and leave until golden on the bottom and the cheese begins to melt.
Put the slice of bread with just the cheese on to the haggis heap.
Keep flipping until the cheese is melted.
For an extra kick, add some haggis jam in place of the caramelised onion.
