Ice, Ice Bang Bang! Summer is sizzling away and the air-conditioned Bang Bang Oriental is serving up an eclectic range of ice cool refreshments guaranteed to cool you down and get you through the warm summer days.
Monster Bites – Hong Kong
Have you ever heard of shaved milk ice? Monster Bites has a range of six at £6.50 each. The most popular is the Mango Fairy, while the wonderful Oreo, Colourful Iceberg, Banana Slice, Melon Ice, and Strawberry Wizard are super-popular too. The Bubble Wrap dessert is a guaranteed treat as well, with a choice between chocolate, pandan and mixed coloured ice cream and two toppings.
Chatime – Taiwan
The kiosk has introduced five new summer drinks within it is exclusive Salted Cheese Mousse Series. These include Matcha Mousse, Winter Melon Mousse, Oolong Tea Mousse, Chocolate Mousse, and Black Tea Mousse. These are priced from £3.70 each.
Café La Viet – Vietnam
14 new exotic and visually impactful home-made drinks have been introduced at Café La Viet. These encompass the Lechee Sunrise (£4.20), Red Bean Jello (£4.80), Fresh Soybean Grass Jelly (£3.80), and Coco Longan (£4.80).
Manilla Kitchen – Philippines
Halo there! Refresh yourself with Manila’s traditional Filipino Halo Halo drinks this summer. Choose between the Original Flavour which consists of shaved ice, melon and jelly and the Fruit Salad made of strawberries, blueberries, avocado ice cream and roasted coconut.
Janchi Korean Kitchen - Korea
Dreaming of snow and ice? Janchi Korean Kitchen has launched a range of ‘Bing Soo’ ice cold honey and yogurt flavoured “Snow Flake” desserts, priced between £7.50 and £9.50. With a sprinkle of almond toppings the Rice Cake Snow Flake is another Janchi highlight to try this summer along with the fruity Melon Snow Flake.
Citropia Cafe – Hong Kong
Highly recommended is the Blueberry Cream Cheese (£4.15), Coconut Shake (£4.65), and Watermelon Juice (£4.15). These are all freshly made to order and feature on the daily specials.
Bang Bang Oriental celebrates Asia’s vibrant culture with 24 individual kiosks offering an eclectic mix of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Malaysian Thai, Hong Kong, and Filipino cuisine, as well as a bar for refreshments and alcoholic beverages.
The venue is open Monday to Thursday from Noon until 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 11.30am until 10.30pm and Sunday from 11.30am until 9.30pm. Three hours of free parking is available.
