Charity Cook Off: Francesco Mazzei and Tom Aikens go head-to-head for The Felix Project

On Monday 19th February, renowned chefs Francesco Mazzei and Tom Aikens will go head-to-head in a unique Cook Off Event to raise money for The Felix Project charity.

For one night only, chef patron Francesco Mazzei will be inviting Tom Aikens, renowned chef and founder of Tom’s Kitchen, to the open kitchen at his recently launched restaurant, Fiume, at Battersea Power Station for a friendly competition that will see both chefs and their teams cooking with ingredients, provided by the charity.

Collecting surplus stock from supermarkets, wholesalers and retailers, The Felix Project deliver to various charities, providing vulnerable people with food and nutrition. For this special event, the chefs will use these ingredients to create a variety of sharing dishes for guests to enjoy. With each chef bringing their own flare and culinary skill to each dish, diners will then be encouraged to choose their favourite with one team declared the winner at the end of the evening by the compère.

With the perfect combination of Italian and British cooking, the evening is set to be an entertaining event with both chefs and their teams in full view of the diners in the restaurant’s extensive open kitchen, to raise money for a charity, close to both chefs’ hearts.

Tickets for the dinner can be purchased from the D&D London gift shop at £35pp, which includes a 3-course meal and a glass of fizz. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to The Felix Project.
