HOSPITALITY ACTION ENCOURAGES FLOOD HIT VICTIMS TO GET IN TOUCH

Industry charity Hospitality Action is urging all those with ties to the hospitality industry and who have fallen victim to the floods to contact them for support.

Following on from the bad weather at Christmas many across the UK have been suffering due to the adverse conditions including flooding, heavy rain and high winds. As much of Southern England and Wales remains saturated the Met Office has issued yellow and amber weather warnings for rain, wind and snow over the coming days. With further flooding inevitable Hospitality Action is urging all those across the industry who have been personally effected to contact them for assistance.

Penny Moore, Chief Executive, Hospitality Action says: “If you are a hospitality industry employee experiencing personal difficulties due to the continuous bad weather please do get in touch. Many homes have been damaged causing unexpected financial distress for many hardworking individuals and families in the affected locations. We are here to help those in need and will assess each case on an individual basis.”

In 2013 Hospitality Action spent £508,000 supporting past and present hospitality workers who had fallen on hard times.
