OK so I am still in a dilema about what to leave in my cv and what to leave out. According to the experts I should only use the last 5 years and since I have been a chef for around 35 years giv or take and my current job has been 15 or 16 years how do I fit in the relevant experience for the job I want without using anshint history? As they say! All I am looking for is somwer cooking fresh home cooked food to spend some time on the pass at service a few nights a week to keep up my skills and speed and mabay in time make a permanent move with the chance of progressing back to head chef onec more.

Small Contribution. Big Impact.

The Staff Canteen has always been more than a website—it’s a community, built by and for hospitality. We share the wins, the challenges, the graft, and the inspiration that keeps kitchens alive.

We believe in staying open to everyone, but creating this content takes real resources. If you’ve ever found value here—whether it’s a recipe, an interview, or a laugh when you needed it most—consider giving just £3 to keep it going.

A little from you keeps this space free for all. Let’s keep lifting the industry, together.
