The Affinity collection from Villeroy & Boch, launched at January’s Hospitality Show, is one of the most exciting tableware launches for the hospitality industry to date. Affinity has been carefully developed with an eye to the particular requirements of modern gastronomy. The result is a comprehensive, multifunctional and extremely robust dinnerware series that makes a strong design statement and optimally meets the most varied of culinary and serving challenges.
Affinity is equally at home in popular design and business hotels, to cafes and trendy bars, canteens and restaurant chains. Culinary creations are confidently made the centre of attention with perfectly coordinated shapes and unusual articles, such as the compartment platters with cloches and the versatile tiered server that can be used for all manner of delights, whether luxury afternoon teas, lounge snacks with club sandwiches and chips, or Asian gourmet menus.
The series includes a total of 70 different porcelain pieces, many of which are stackable. Affinity provides 15 different plates perfectly coordinated in size and shape, eight different cups and mugs, all of which fit on the same saucer, and various platters, dishes and bowls, thus easily satisfying the entire tableware needs of the house.
Affinity comes at an attractive price point too and is part of the AAA programme (Articles Always Available), which guarantees the constant availability of the core articles of the line. It is one of the most flexible designs to date by allowing for custom-made solutions such as white reliefs and precious metal edging in gold or platinum. Or the Villeroy & Boch designers can develop a bespoke design, professionally and carefully tailoring to the needs of the customer.
As one of the most versatile collections to date, Affinity can be easily combined with many of the existing Villeroy & Boch lines. When coordinated with selected items from the series Flow, Cera or Urban Nature, for instance, Affinity can be very successfully upgraded to Fine Dining.
