The Premium foodservice distributor has launched its first exclusive premium butchery offering to boost summer service.
Woods Foodservice, the award-winning foodservice distributor renowned for fine produce, has announced an exclusive partnership with HG Walter to launch its first fresh butchery offer. This marks a significant milestone for the premium distributor as it enters the fresh meat category for the first time, building on the launch of the fresh produce division in 2022.
The collaboration will see Woods Foodservice offer premium Cumberland, chipolata and country style sausages, streaky bacon and premium burgers, with the ambition to expand the range into fresh cuts in the near future. Demand for high quality British meat products has surged among Woods’ customer base in the last 12 months and the launch follows new research from Red Tractor showing that 90% of Brits want to see more food produced in the UK, and consumer trust in British food (vs imports) reaching a 4-year high of 94%.
