Sosa Ingredients, S.L. is one of the leading manufacturers of premium ingredients for gastronomy and pastry in Spain. The company started out in 1967 as a family business producing artesian biscuits and traditional Catalan Christmas products. During the 1970s, Sosa introduced ingredients for ice cream production. This product range has been enhanced during the 1980s to an exquisite product line. In 2000 the company started with the production of ingredients for gastronomy and pastry with the introduction of nuts, followed by freeze dried fruits, texturizers, natural plant extracts, essential oils and many more.
Currently Sosa is preparing for the relocation of the company to another 22 million m² family estate to satisfy the demand of their clients in more than 30 countries including; Germany, UK, Belgium, Scandinavia, France, Portugal, Italy, Greece, USA, Canada, Australia, China, Japan, Singapore, Dubai, Bahrain, Turkey and Morocco. The main goal for the future is to develop the product lines with the emphasis on technology and innovation.
Sosa ingredients are used throughout the world by top chefs including pastry innovator Jordi Butron and Ferran Adria. Woods Foodservice is delighted to be working with Damian Allsop, the UKs leading chocolatier and Sosa in a joint venture to educate and inspire chefs in the use of Sosa ingredients. Seminars will take place in the demonstration room at their new warehouse premises
