Soar into action and become a hero for Hospitality Action Week, the industry’s charity fundraising event of the year!

The Staff Canteen

2012 will see Hospitality Action celebrate its fourth annual HA Week. Over the past three years there has been a whole host of inventive fundraising from the charity’s fantastic supporters. From race nights to cake sales, garden tours to relaxing massages, each hospitality sector has pulled together to support those in serious need and the charity is calling on the whole industry to take part once again. So, why not release your inner Action Hero between 14th and 20th May? Whether you raise £5 by entering the charity’s Big Prize Draw to win a trip to Palm Beach, Florida, or £5,000 by getting sponsored for a parachute jump, every penny counts.

There are many exciting ways to get involved in the fundraising including:

 ‘At your discretion’ appeal

Restaurants, hotels, pubs & bars, caterers and motorway services are encouraged to take part in “At your discretion” an innovative fundraising campaign that asks diners to donate an extra £1 on their bill in support of HA. Michael Caines MBE, celebrated chef and patron of HA, has generously endorsed the appeal and will be operating the scheme within his own Michael Caines Abode restaurants in Chester and Manchester. A number of other restaurants have also already confirmed their support, including Aiden Byrne, The Mark Addy, Seafood Pub Company, Lancashire Taverns and Park Plaza hotels to name just a few.  The appeal is being promoted with the support of LiveBookings, Europe’s largest online marketing and reservations service for restaurants and Manchester Confidential, a lifestyle magazine for Manchester. To register your interest or take part please email [email protected] or telephone 020 3004 5503

Win a trip to Florida!

By purchasing a “Big Prize Draw” ticket not only will you be supporting the work of HA but you’ll also be in with the chance to win a trip of a lifetime to Palm Beach Florida. Tickets are just £1 each with fantastic prizes up for grabs such as a three-night stay for two at The Chesterfield Palm Beach hotel in Florida, including flights, kindly donated by Red Carnation Hotels and a 32inch LCD television kindly donated by Beacon Purchasing.  You could also be in with a chance to win a £150 Marks & Spencer voucher as well as Champagne and chocolates.
