Ex-Club Gascon's Arturo Granato is the new head chef at Michelin-starred Shoreditch restaurant, Galvin La Chapelle

Joining Jeff and Chris Galvin's three AA Rosette restaurant in the City, Arturo brings experience from Michelin-starred Club Gascon and the Avista restaurant at the Millenium Hotel Mayfair, where he was the executive chef, as well as from now-closed L'Etranger and The Greenhouse.

The chef was a semi-finalist in the Craft Guild of Chefs' National Chef of the Year competition in 2019.

Prior to moving to London, Arturo worked in restaurants in Venice and Brescia, Italy.

Since starting at Galvin La Chapelle three months ago, Arturo has worked with Jeff Galvin and the team to develop the restaurant's spring menu, including dishes such as foie gras with confit duck leg terrine, caramel vinegar, rhubarb and cocoa soil and Pyrénées lamb trio with Cantabrian anchovy, wild morels and courgette flower.

Galvin La Chapelle opened in 2009 and earned a star the following year in the Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland 2011. It is sister to modern French Galvin at Windows on the 28th floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane, and adjacent to Galvin Bistrot & Bar in Spitalfields market.
