Frantzén is Sweden's first three-starred restaurant in the Michelin Guide Nordic Countries 2018

Björn Frantzén’s restaurant Frantzén in Stockholm has been awarded three stars in the Michelin Guide Nordic Countries 2018.

Michael Ellis, International Director of the Michelin Guide said: “Björn Frantzén has created a unique vision of Nordic cuisine, combining sublime ingredients with astounding culinary techniques. Björn Frantzén’s gastronomic expression is truly worth the journey, and is a gustatory experience like no other."

Iceland
Norway
Denmark
Finland
Sweden

The guide also includes two new two-star restaurants which included Daniel Berlin in Skåne Tranås, Sweden, where Chef Daniel Berlin makes wonderful use of local produce, with an emphasis on balance, purity and precision, and Kadeau in Copenhagen, Denmark where head chef Nicolai Nørregaard and his team’s menu is defined by finesse and intricacy.

Seven new one-star restaurants have also been added to the guide - Denmark has received two new Michelin stars including Me|Mu in Vejle and Jordnær in Gentofte. Sweden has increased their Michelin star quota with three new one-stars including SAV in Malmo, Aloë and Agrikultur in Stockholm. Grön in Helsinki, Finland has also received a Michelin star as has Galt in Oslo, Norway.

The Nordic guide now has a total of 268 Michelin-recommended restaurants across the region. Additionally, 37 establishment received the Bib Gourmand designation, which highlights restaurants that offer good quality cooking at an attractive price.
