London’s award-winning restaurant, bar and venue in the heart of Camden Market, Gilgamesh has undergone a makeover as well as enlisting new head chef Dean Light and opened a new cafe at the Gilgamesh's latest champagne bar - The Belle Epoque.Gilgamesh-9 (low res) New head chef, Dean Light, whose experience includes the: Dorchester, the Savoy, private dining to well-known celebrity clients to prestigious events, will showing his passion for Pan Asian cuisine, flavours and textures by creating dishes that will see him apply ‘theatre’ and panache to the newly created private chef’s table. Through a specially commissioned gold linen encrusted glass screen, diners can see their dishes being prepared and the head chef will be on hand to talk them through a seven course meal, including some of the Gilgamesh’s award-winning cocktails and selection of wines and champagnes. All a part of its comprehensive makeover the recently launched Belle Époque champagne bar will open its door to a new café experience seven days a week from 11am. The Gilgamesh Café will serve the finest in homemade cakes and pastries, breakfast omelettes, superfood lunchtime salads plus the restaurant’s favourite hot dishes including a variety of sushi, sashimi and dim sum dishes to smoothies, homemade soft drinks, coffees and a selection of Chinese, loose leaf, fruit and herbal teas. new chefFor those diners who want a romantic meal, the Gilgamesh will continue to offer a hand-picked selection of the finest exotic signature pan-Asian dishes with menus influenced by the food of the South East Asia, China and Japan. While its cuisine is pan-Asian its themed surroundings hark back to 2600BC and the King who wanted to be immortal.
