Great British Menu 2020: Georgia Sommerin, Wales heat

Georgia Sommerin is senior sous at michelin-starred Restaurant James Sommerin and is the youngest competitor ever on the Great British Menu.
The 20-year old from Penarth, South Wales should not to be underestimated as she’s been working in a professional kitchen since the age of 13 and full time since 2016 under the watchful eye of her father, Michelin starred chef James Sommerin.
Initially Georgia wanted to make some pocket money but she soon fell in love with cooking as a career. Georgia is out to prove herself on her own terms with her classic cooking inspired by the local Welsh produce.
Her dad James said: "I have always hoped and wished that one of our girls would follow in my footsteps and that wish came true with our eldest daughter, Georgia."
The family are currently living at the restaurant and cooking and delivering meals to frontline NHS workers during the coronavirus lockdown.
