'closed until further notice'
Now, the Creative Restaurant Group has released a statement on the incident, confirming the temporary closure.
A post on social media read: "On the morning of Saturday, 6th September, a fire broke out at the Helios building, causing damage to Endo at the Rotunda. We are profoundly grateful to the London Fire Brigade for their swift and courageous response, and to the residents and community for their patience and cooperation throughout.
"Most importantly,
we are relieved and thankful that everyone is safe. Our team is absolutely heartbroken by what has happened, and the Rotunda will remain closed until further notice while we carefully navigate the path ahead.
"We will share updates in due course, and in the meantime, we remain deeply touched by the support and kindness we have received."

Endo at the Rotunda: a Michelin-starred destination
Opened in 2019 by sushi master Endo Kazutoshi, the restaurant quickly established itself as one of London’s most exclusive omakase counters, seating just ten guests per service. It earned a Michelin star within its first year and has been a fixture on the capital’s fine dining scene ever since.
The chef was born in Yokohoma, Japan's second biggest city in population terms after Tokyo.
Endo-san is a third generation sushi master and learnt his trade from his grandfather, who owned and operated a popular local sushi bar. He learnt the centuries-old Edomae technique in Tokyo, where the tradition was born 200 years ago.
Known for its intimate setting and panoramic views across London, Endo at the Rotunda has attracted diners from around the world, many booking months in advance to experience its meticulous approach to Japanese cuisine.
