The Staff Canteen launches Lockdown Lock-In Live with chefs Tom Kerridge, James Martin and Paul Ainsworth.

The Staff Canteen will launch a new live feature on its Facebook page – the Lockdown Lock-In and The line-up for the first show is Tom Kerridge, James Martin and Paul Ainsworth.

Each week three ‘chef mates’ will join The Staff Canteen Editor, Cara Houchen, who will ask them questions designed to test their friendship.

They’ve already let her in on some of their secret stories, the other chefs just don’t know which ones!

Streaming to over 138k Facebook followers, The Staff Canteen aim to give the hospitality industry a break from the stress of the current Coronavirus lockdown. The live show will be informal, fun and no doubt full of surprises.

– they will all be bringing a lockdown snack and beverage of their choice, ready to answer the weird and wonderful questions on The Staff Canteen spinning wheel.

Editor, Cara Houchen,

said: “We wanted to create something fun which offered a break from all the serious stuff. Not everyone gets the opportunity to get up close to these chefs, so we thought we’d bring them to our followers and show their less professional side.

“I can’t wait to put them on the spot and ask all the important questions like who has the biggest ego and what was the last thing they put in their mouths!”

Viewers are invited to interact with the guest chefs on the night, and they will aim to answer any questions they can during the show.

You can’t go to the pub with your mates, so come to our virtual pub with our mates!

Small Contribution. Big Impact.

The Staff Canteen has always been more than a website—it’s a community, built by and for hospitality. We share the wins, the challenges, the graft, and the inspiration that keeps kitchens alive.

We believe in staying open to everyone, but creating this content takes real resources. If you’ve ever found value here—whether it’s a recipe, an interview, or a laugh when you needed it most—consider giving just £3 to keep it going.

A little from you keeps this space free for all. Let’s keep lifting the industry, together.
