Two Michelin star chef, Tom Sellers has announced Story Cellar, a new restaurant in Neal’s yard opening in March 2023.

Tom’s newest venture is set to be a Parisian inspired rotisserie style restaurant with counter dining, where rotisserie chicken will be the primary focus, served alongside a concise menu of house cured charcuterie and classic dishes.

Stephen Naylor will join Tom in the kitchen as Head Chef of Story Cellar, having worked as Sous Chef at Restaurant Story for the past four years.

Commenting on the announcement, Julia Wilkinson Restaurant Director at Shaftesbury, commented: “It is a proud moment for us to announce that such a well-established and renowned chef like Tom Sellers has selected Seven Dials for his new restaurant location.”

She added: “We are hugely excited to welcome the new dining concept to the neighbourhood, and its innovative and forward-thinking dining experience promises to perfectly match the iconic Neal’s Yard location. The addition will hugely contribute to the ever-evolving F&B offering at Seven Dials, bolstering the neighbourhood’s reputation as a hub for unique and diverse operators in London’s West End.”

This new venture will be a continuation of Tom’s first restaurant, Restaurant Story, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2023.

The milestone will be marked with a major refurbishment in the spring, and the addition of an upstairs dining area with outdoor seating. Story Cellar, like Restaurant Story, will be centred around top flight hospitality and fine wines, with the new venue also facilitating the extension of Restaurant Story’s own wine list, which will grow exponentially once reopened.

At Story Cellar, a sophisticated wine programme will be supported by a Coravin system, offering guests the opportunity to try rare and exceptional wines by the glass, which would usually only be available in full bottle format.

An expansive walk-in cellar will allow guests to store their own personal collections at the restaurant, cared for by a world-class sommelier team, meaning patrons will be offered a bespoke monogrammed wine list when dining at Story Cellar.
