How to make a Marie Rose sauce

The Staff Canteen

Okay we’re going to make some Marie Rose or cocktail sauce with a fanny Cradock’s 1960's favourite all over your prawn cocktail so we've taken some of our wonderful homemade mayonnaise that we made in an earlier video and were going to add some Tabasco, bit of ring stein 1 or 2 little drops some Worcestershire sauce again a couple of little drops, squeeze of little lemon watching out for the pips, light whisk

and then some red sauce I think that Heinz make quite a good one we’ll use theirs, start of with 2 good dessert spoons full, quick whisk a splash more of the red sauce and now it’s time to taste, okay we want a little pinch of salt, little bit more lemon, just want that acid to come through final whisk and there we have it some of our Marie Rose sauce.
