Hot apple and pomegranate Charlottes with warm custard

Ingredients

  • Warm Apple & Pomegranate Charlottes:
  • X1 X2 X4
  • Kerrymaid Buttery 200g 400g 800g
  • Caster sugar 180g 360g 720g
  • Pink Lady Apples 4 8 16
  • White Bread Loaf ½ 1 2
  • Pomegranates 1 2 4
  • Caster sugar 100g 200g 400g

Method

- Peel, core and dice the apples
- Add the apples to a non-stick pan add the sugar and cook till caramelised
- Remove from the pan and leave to cool
- Remove the crusts from 2 slices of bread
- Roll flat using a rolling pin
- Spread butter Kerrymaid Buttery so the bread is covered on both sides
- Pour the caster sugar over the bread so it is completely covered
- Using a ring mould line one slice of bread around the inside
- Cut 2 circles out of the other slice to make the top and bottom
- Place one in the bottom
- Add 2 spoons of the caramelised apples inside
- Remove the seeds from the pomegranate add some to the middle and the juice
- Place the lid on top bake in the oven 180°c 20 minutes
