American Chicken Sub served with salsa using MAGGI Southern Fried Crunchy Bake

  • Ingredients:
  • 10 portions chicken breast
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 100g MAGGI® Southern Fried Crunchy Bake
  • 10 sub rolls
  • 100g light mayonnaise
  • 100g tomato
  • 100g red onion sliced
  • 10 slices cheese, cut in half diagonally
  • 150g salsa


Dip the chicken in the egg to coat. Press firmly into the Crunchy Bake breadcrumb mix until all sides are well coated. Place the portions on a preheated, parchment lined, baking tray and bake for 10-25 minutes, depending on portion size, in an oven set to 200˚C (fan 180˚C). Ensure the chicken reaches a minimum core temperature of 75˚C. Slice each sub in half lengthways and spread with a thin layer of mayonnaise. Layer with slices of tomato and red onion then fill will with sliced chicken and top with cheese slices. Lay subs on a baking tray and place under a hot grill to melt the cheese. Top each sub with a tablespoon of salsa and serve.
