Fried Zeppole with nutella

An Italian classic, these fried ricotta dough balls are served with nutella and make for a restaurant worthy dessert with a difference.

Ingredients

  • 240g flour
  • 36g baking powder
  • 250g nutella
  • Pinch of salt
  • 27g sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 240ml ricotta cheese
  • 4.5g vanilla
  • 60g powdered sugar (for dusting)

Method

In a medium sauce pan add all dry ingredients, then add eggs, cheese and vanilla.
Cook over a very low heat until mixture is combined and then remove from the heat.
Deep fry large tablespoon of batter for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
Dust with powdered sugar and serve with 14g of nutella® per portion for dipping.
