AngloThai launches ‘AngloThai at Home: Irish Beef Banquet box with HG Walter and Newcomer Wines

Off the back of a sold out summer residency at Newcomer Wines and following the success
of their summer lockdown AngloThai Hot Dog home kit, the husband and wife team
(AngloThai co-founders John and Desiree Chantarasak) have partnered once again with
family-run butchers HG Walter to create a brand new limited edition home experience box
that showcases grass-fed Irish beef and brings the flavours of Thailand into London homes
this winter. 


The banquet box includes: 
● 950g grass-fed Irish T-bone steak, aged for 35-days in the HG Walter salt chambers 
● 2 x beef bone marrow with beef fat umami crumb 
● Tamarind and roasted chilli ‘jaew’ dipping sauce 
● Som tam vegetables - white cabbage, heritage carrot, vine tomato 
● Som tam dressing 
● Som tam toasted seed mix 
● New crop jasmine rice 
● Bottle of Blaufränkisch 'Bela Joska' 2017 (Christoph Wachter-Wiesler) from
Newcomer Wines

Restaurant concept AngloThai has brought a series of acclaimed residencies and
collaborations to the London restaurant scene. AngloThai At Home gives Londoners the
chance to bring AngloThai’s signature punchy flavours to life in their own homes. 

In addition,
Desiree and the team at Newcomer tasted many bottles during the summer residency and
from those tastings have selected and included a bottle of Blaufränkisch 'Bela Joska' 2017
from Christoph Wachter-Wiesler in the banquet box, a classic in the making and gives the
complete AngloThai At Home dining experience. 

The box comes with a unique QR code link to online videos with John and Desiree, guiding
customers through each step, from start to finish, on how to perfectly cook and bring the
whole meal box experience together. Including tasting notes on the wine selected for the
banquet box by Desiree. 

“We've had a great time cooking with grass-fed Irish beef this summer at our Newcomer
Wines residency and we really wanted to continue celebrating these amazing suppliers and
their produce with a project this winter. We've created an AngloThai dining experience for
people to enjoy in the comfort of their homes, that showcases an incredible dry-aged T-bone
sharing steak and a delicious bottle from our friends at Newcomer Wines. The grass-fed Irish
T-bone has the most amazing flavour from Himalayan salt chamber ageing at HG Walter and
the cattle’s slow growth, deep marbling and lush diet of grass, clover and yarrow, it’s such an
exciting product to bring to people’s homes” - John and Desiree Chantarasak (co-founders of
AngloThai). 

AngloThai At Home boxes are available from Newcomer Wines and are recommended to
feed a hungry pair at a retail price of £100. The boxes will be available in limited quantities
for two weeks from Monday 9th November, orders will go live at midday, with home delivery
to postcodes within the M25 on Friday 20th and Friday 27th November.
