Daily market report 21/8/2012

Fish is still a bit scarce at the moment due to our bad weather here in cornwall, we managed to buy from looe market this morning  tagged wild sea bass , plaice , lemon soles and a few turbots.
From the plymouth market there was red mullet , sardines , squid, whole haddock perfect for fish and chips!
Hake should be re-appering soon as this species goes a couple weeks of the month because of the tides, the boats cannot get the nets down deep enough to catch them!
Wild sea trout is steadly avaliable as well as Wild salmon from the river eymouth just under edinburgh all fly caught!
