Bridor announces 400 million euro expansion plan

Bridor, part of Groupe Le Duff has announced a global expansion plan at all its sites in France, Canada and the United States.

With France now accounting for 24% of Bridor’s sales, but 60% of its production, exports are a key growth area. Currently, Bridor exports to over 90 countries worldwide.

Louis Le Duff, founder of Groupe Le Duff presented a series of investment and development plans following Bridor’s double-digit rate of growth:

Servon sur Vilaine, France
Bridor’s flagship production site will expand to a total surface area of 70,000m2.

New additions to the current 11 hectares will include a R&D and training centre, which will be open to global partners and customers, and a new logistics hub, which should be completed within two years.

The new hub will be dedicated to the preparation of automated orders and allow temporary storage of products before shipping. It will be able to accommodate several thousands of pallets.

Louverné, near Laval, France
Although only two years old, the site has already doubled in size and will eventually reach 50, 000 m2 as part of a 17- hectare plot of land.

Montreal, Canada
The Canadian site will be expanding to reach 55,000 m2, thus increasing its production capacity so as to market traditional types of bread, baguettes and French and American pastries across the whole of North America.

Vineland near Philadelphia, USA
Bridor is developing on an exceptional 35,000m2 site, doubling its annual production capacity of croissants and pains au chocolat.

One Billion Euros by 2020.
With such a level of investment, the Bridor management teams have been set a clear objective: to obtain a turnover of one billion Euros in 2020.

In order to facilitate this objective, an active recruitment drive is underway. Currently, Bridor employs 1800 employees. At least 1,000 new jobs are to be
created worldwide in the next five years in a variety of disciplines (from bakers and chefs, to engineers, technicians and sales teams).
