Chefs Support Ukraine

The Craft Guild of Chefs and UK Curry Connect have joined forces to come up with a scheme called ‘Chefs support Ukraine’.

The scheme will run until 30th June, with the aim of raising £10,000.

We are asking that you give some thought to how you, and your customers, can add to the fund.

Simple ideas could be:
• Add £1 to a specific dish on your menu, the proceeds of which would go to the fund
• Have a special ‘Help for Ukraine’ themed event with the profits going to the fund
• Perhaps the tips raised on a specific day could be the contribution

With your kind support, we can help more children and families affected by this crisis.

Together we can make a difference.

The war in Ukraine has forced almost 5m people to flee the country. UNICEF consider that more half of the country’s children are now displaced, whilst millions of children and their families remain in immediate danger.

Aid agencies like UNHCR and UNICEF are working around the clock in Ukraine and at the borders of neighbouring countries, providing access to clean water, health care services and other critical support.

As the refugee crisis grows, the charities’ teams in Poland, Moldova, Belarus, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Czech Republic are working closely with their UN partners to provide more humanitarian aid for children and families on the move but they need our help.

How can you help?

Every establishment is different, but together we can make a difference.

How you raise your donations will be entirely up to you.
You could hold a special event, encouraging your customers to donate generously too; You may decide to identify a special dish on your menu, helping boost sales whilst creating those extra donations.

Whichever way you choose, when you have calculated your donations visit
and make your payment through the ‘JustGiving’ page.

The money will go directly to the UNHCR.
Don’t forget to tell everyone about what you are doing on your social media pages, remembered to tag #ChefsforUkraine
