Jp McMahon to celebrate The Irish Cookbook launch with talk and demonstration at Le Cordon Bleu

On 2nd March, Le Cordon Bleu will be joined by acclaimed Irish chef, Jp McMahon for a special guest chef talk and demonstration to celebrate his new book, The Irish Cookbook (Phaidon).

Jp McMahon is a chef, restaurateur, food educator and food thought leader based in Galway, Ireland. He is Culinary Director at EATGalway Restaurant Group, which includes the Michelin-starred Aniar Restaurant, Cava Bodega and Tartare Café + Wine Bar.

Several years in the making, The Irish Cookbook is a comprehensive collection of 500 authentic recipes drawn from thousands of years of Irish food. Small Contribution. Big Impact.

The Staff Canteen has always been more than a website—it’s a community, built by and for hospitality. We share the wins, the challenges, the graft, and the inspiration that keeps kitchens alive.

We believe in staying open to everyone, but creating this content takes real resources. If you’ve ever found value here—whether it’s a recipe, an interview, or a laugh when you needed it most—consider giving just £3 to keep it going.

A little from you keeps this space free for all. Let’s keep lifting the industry, together.
