Jp McMahon to celebrate The Irish Cookbook launch with talk and demonstration at Le Cordon Bleu

On 2nd March, Le Cordon Bleu will be joined by acclaimed Irish chef, Jp McMahon for a special guest chef talk and demonstration to celebrate his new book, The Irish Cookbook (Phaidon).

Jp McMahon is a chef, restaurateur, food educator and food thought leader based in Galway, Ireland. He is Culinary Director at EATGalway Restaurant Group, which includes the Michelin-starred Aniar Restaurant, Cava Bodega and Tartare Café + Wine Bar.

Several years in the making, The Irish Cookbook is a comprehensive collection of 500 authentic recipes drawn from thousands of years of Irish food. The book celebrates the quality and variety of Irish ingredients, from the oysters and seaweed on its west coast to the beef and lamb from its lush pastures, to the wild forest food, berries and oats found throughout the island. Presenting best-loved traditional dishes alongside many lesser-known gems, the book explores every aspect of Irish cooking.

Join Jp as he demonstrates some of the incredible ingredients and techniques from Ireland’s remarkably rich culinary heritage, just two weeks ahead of St Patrick’s Day.
