#NCOTY Winners Supplier Trip

On Monday, February 3rd, we had the incredible opportunity to take the winners of the Craft Guild of Chefs #NCOTY 2024/2025 on an exciting supplier tour around beautiful Lancashire!

Our itinerary was filled with remarkable local suppliers showcasing the best that Lancashire has to offer:

We kicked off the tour at Mrs. Kirkham's, the last remaining raw milk cheese maker in Lancashire, where we experienced the rich flavors and artisanal craftsmanship of their award-winning cheeses.

Next, we visited the Wild Fox Gin Distillery, renowned for its award-winning craft gins. Not only did we savor their unique offerings, but we also indulged in delicious butter pies that perfectly complemented the tasting!

A treat for dessert lovers, we stopped by Rosy Goat Ice Cream, where we savored some amazing locally made ice cream that captured the essence of Lancashire.

We then went to a Dexter beef farm, where we had the chance to meet the dedicated farmers behind the operation. The highlight here was enjoying grass-fed steaks right in the farm kitchen—a true farm-to-fork experience!

Our culinary journey continued to the coast for some Saltmarsh lamb, a key ingredient in the ultimate Lancashire hotpot. We paired this delicious dish with a selection of local craft beers that enhanced the flavors beautifully.

We also explored an organic mushroom farm, learning about their sustainable practices and the incredible varieties they cultivate.

To wrap up our tour, we visited a local wine merchant to discover some exquisite wines that beautifully complement Lancashire's diverse cuisine.

Thank you to all the suppliers for their hospitality and passion for local produce!
