Great British Menu 2020 chefs: Josh Angus, North East heat

The Staff Canteen

For the last three years Josh Angus has been head chef at Michelin-starred Hide in London, working under Ollie Dabbous and running a team of up to fifty chefs.

He also looks after Hide Ground which serves all day dining and which can do a staggering 400 covers a day. From Sheffield, Josh is proud to be competing to represent the North East in the first cookery competition he’s ever entered.

He’s worked at some of the UK’s top restaurants with leading chefs including Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and Phil Howard’s Elystan Street.

Josh has also travelled abroad and worked as a private chef for the American ambassador which involved cooking for famous guests such as Ed Sheeran, Donald Trump and Michelle Obama.
