We’ve been celebrating our tenth birthday this month and some of our followers have won limited-edition mugs, signed by top chefs. Make sure you're following us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to enter!
Remember to follow your fellow chefs on here too, to keep up to date with their latest posts. Here's some members that we've been following this month:
The most popular recipe this month was Vegan 'Faux' Foie Gras recipe by Alexis Gauthier. Alexis worked with plant-based company BOSH! to create this vegan alternative to foie gras using lentils, walnuts and shallots.
Summer’s Garden cocktail at
The Petersham Restaurant
The most popular drinks recipe this month was this vibrant vodka-based cocktail from The Petersham Restaurant in Richmond. For the Summer's Garden cocktail, they've combined the alcohol with kiwi puree, lime juice and sugar syrup, then served it with ice and garnished with a pansy. We're sure this will be a hit going into the warmer months!
We're loving all of the seasonal Spring produce at the moment, including lamb, asparagus and apricots. Make sure you upload your seasonal recipes and images to the Chef+ app, and we'll share the best ones on our social media channels.
Our Chef Plus Member of the Month for April is John Subritzky. John is originally from New Zealand, but he currently works as executive chef at Hansa Apart Hotel Regensburg and Restaurant Seven Oceans. Whilst at work, John cooks modern, upscale dishes like Octopus terrine and Beluga lentil salad, at home he's partial to a pork pie!

Small Contribution. Big Impact.
The Staff Canteen has always been more than a website—it’s a community, built by and for hospitality. We share the wins, the challenges, the graft, and the inspiration that keeps kitchens alive.
We believe in staying open to everyone, but creating this content takes real resources. If you’ve ever found value here—whether it’s a recipe, an interview, or a laugh when you needed it most—consider giving just £3 to keep it going.
A little from you keeps this space free for all. Let’s keep lifting the industry, together.
