Bohemia: First Channel Island Restaurant to be Listed in the Top 1000 Restaurants in the World

Bohemia Restaurant has been listed in the ‘Top 1000 Restaurants in the World’ on the prestigious ‘La Liste 2019’. The list is based on a compilation of hundreds of guidebooks and millions of online reviews, and offers the best global restaurant selection handpicked by discerning food critics and expert guides.

Joining the Top 1000 list follows another successful year for Bohemia achieving a ranking as the 14th best restaurant in the UK in the Waitrose Good Food Guide 2019; retaining its coveted Michelin star for the fourteenth year; 5AA rosettes for the second year (the only restaurant in the Channel Islands to receive this accolade).

Bohemia diners and guidebook critics in 2018 have enjoyed exquisite dishes such as: Belted Galloway Tartare - Dill, Caper, Raisin, Sour Dough; Turbot - Heritage Carrot, Sea Buckthorn & Mussels, Pennywort; and Veal Textures - Artichoke & Coffee, Apple & Hazelnut. There is a delightful array of desserts including: Pop Corn Parfait - Caramel, Lime; and Sour Cherry - Dark Chocolate, Kirsch.

In November 2018, Bohemia’s own Junior Sous Chef Callum successfully reached the quarter-finals in the eleventh series of BBC MasterChef: The Professionals 2018, where he showcased his culinary talent.

Bohemia Restaurant’s Head Chef Steve Smith said: “We are absolutely delighted that our passion and commitment has been recognised once again! Jersey is renowned for its high standard of gourmet dining, and we are proud to play our part in putting Jersey on the culinary map.”

Visitors to the restaurant can sample Bohemia’s classic dinner menu from £65 per person. Steve Smith has also created a truly outstanding dining experience with his ingredient and flavour driven tasting menus which are priced from £79 for seven courses.

The restaurant is open from Monday to Saturday, Noon until 2.30pm for lunch, and 6.30pm until 10.00pm for dinner.
